There is perhaps no better introduction to a community than a holiday-inspired event like the Braselton Holiday Celebration. It’s a chance to meet future neighbors and gather together in the spirit of goodwill and holiday cheer. If you’re considering a move to Traditions of Braselton, join us at the annual Celebrate the Holidays in Braselton event on November 17th. Prepare for a full day of festive fun hosted in the heart of the historic downtown area. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can enjoy the holiday parade, holiday marketplace, and lighting of the tree. Above all, your kids will be excited about their opportunity to meet Santa and tell him everything they want for Christmas. Here’s a closer look at what you can expect during this year’s Celebrate the Holidays in Braselton event.
See the Holiday Parade
The Braselton Holiday Celebration festivities kick off at 10:30 a.m. with the popular annual holiday parade. The parade route passes through the heart of Historic Downtown Braselton. Showcasing the theme “Reindeer Games,” it features local high school marching bands, floats, classic cars, tractors, and animals. Make sure you arrive early to get your perfect viewing spot!
Shop at the Holiday Market
You can knock some items off your holiday shopping list with unique gifts by a variety of vendors at the holiday marketplace. Located around the Town Green, come shop the market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here, you will find a variety of one-of-a-kind gifts. These include home decor, jewelry, candles, soaps, furniture, repurposed creations, baked goods, and more! There will also be an outdoor market with 30 vendors, as well as food trucks near Countryside Antiques. Throughout the day several downtown merchants will also be hosting sidewalk sales.
Visit the North Pole
If you have small children, don’t miss your chance to visit Santa at the North Pole tent. Be sure to bring your camera and capture the moment as your kiddos share their Christmas wishes with the Jolly Old Elf. While you’re here, enjoy a delicious meal and festive treats from area vendors. Additionally, there will be entertainment throughout the day including a variety of live music and dance performances.
Experience a Braselton Tradition
The Lighting of the Tree wraps up the event at 5 p.m. Dating back to the 1920’s, it’s a magical event that brings the community together each year. The highlight of the evening occurs when a special visitor arrives to magically light the tree. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.
