As Valentine’s Day approaches, the concept of romance is top of mind for many. While that often involves the love of another person, at Traditions of Braselton, we believe it should also apply to where you make a home with the people you love. If you haven’t already become smitten with our 1140-acre master-planned community in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, we propose the following four reasons for you to fall in love with Traditions of Braselton…
Amenity-Rich Lifestyle
One of the first things that draws couples and families to Traditions of Braselton is the wealth of amenities available to all our homeowners. At the heart of it all is our Owner’s Clubhouse – which includes a full kitchen, 75” flat screen TV, seating, and tables. It is available for community events and can be rented by our residents. Most popular is its 24-hour accessible fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, and a fitness room that hosts a regular rotation of yoga, kickboxing and aerobic classes.
The Clubhouse overlooks the Swim Club, which features a sprawling sun deck and Jr. Olympic-sized pool with splash zone and waterslide. Steps away, you can work on your swing at our Tennis and Pickle Ball Complex – which is about to gain six new courts. We are exceedingly proud of our experienced Director of Tennis and Pickleball, Ryan Kent, and our growing community of ALTA members. Rounding out our amenity center is an event lawn that plays host to outdoor concerts and holiday celebrations where neighbors become friends, and a playground that serves as an active social scene for families with young children.
Traditions of Braselton is also set alongside the picturesque links of Traditions Golf & Country Club – a private club that showcases a newly reimagined clubhouse, 18-hole course, pro shop, golf academy, and a full-service restaurant – Twenty7. Memberships are currently open to Traditions of Braselton residents.
An Oasis Near I-85
While Traditions of Braselton is poised amid the peace and quiet of what was once largely the farmlands of south Jackson County, its position near I-85 makes it a popular choice for commuting professionals – with a straight shot south into many thriving employment centers, including Buford, Duluth, Norcross, Midtown, and Downtown Atlanta. After a day in the office, coming home to Traditions is a welcome change – where kids play outside, neighbors wave as they jog past or drive by in their golf carts, the air is filled with the hum of lawnmowers, and the scent of a backyard BBQ is virtually ever-present on the breeze. Beyond the boundaries of our community, you’ll find the small-town charm of nearby Braselton, Jefferson, and Hoschton – each showcasing a collection of boutiques, eateries, and a jam-packed calendar of family-friendly community events. With the intention of preserving green spaces and scenic buffers between our community and the surrounding area, the scenic beauty of Traditions of Braselton is second to none.
Access to Excellent Schools
School choice and the excellence of the schools that serve Traditions to Braselton are major selling points for families with school-aged children. The community is zoned for Jackson County Schools – including Gum Springs Elementary, West Jackson Middle, and Jackson County High Schools. In addition to making the cut for the Top 5 Athens area school districts, Jackson County Schools have built an excellent reputation over the 110 years since the district was first established. Gum Springs Elementary boasts a 17:1 student-to-teacher ratio and solid test scores – well above the state average. West Jackson Middle also achieves high marks for its 16:1 student-teacher ratio and test scores – particularly where Physical Science and Algebra I are concerned. Jackson County High School – the home of the Panthers – unveiled a shiny new 250,000-square-foot $69 million facility during the 2021-2022 school year. It received the College Success Award from GreatSchools.org that same year and boasts above-average rankings for test scores and college readiness, with a graduation rate of 93%.
Traditions of Braselton families can also opt to send their children to the award-winning Jefferson City Schools. Jefferson Academy, Jefferson Middle, and Jefferson High Schools all achieve high marks from GreatSchools.org for Academic Progress and Test Scores, with Jefferson High achieving a 9 out of 10 score overall and an excellent 97% graduation rate. The elementary and middle schools are close behind with matching 8 out of 10 overall scores. The District as a whole achieves a 100% school quality score from GreatSchools.org, placing it 74% above the state average. It scores the same for academic progress, 68% above the state average. With a mission to “graduate fully functioning adults,” Jefferson City Schools emphasize STEAM education – culling lessons gleaned from science, technology, engineering, art, and math to educate the next generation of students, which also happens to be the workforce of the future. To that end, the system emphasizes to its students that learning will be a lifelong process. If accepted to the system, out-of-district admittance is tuition-based.
