But how do you know if a community is the right fit for you and your family? From our perch at the Discovery Center of one of the most exciting master-planned communities in Northeast Georgia – Traditions of Braselton – we recommend the following five factors to help determine whether a community is the ideal destination for your new home…

Array of Amenities

If you and your family members enjoy an active lifestyle – or hope to pursue one in your next home – access to amenities is an important factor in finding the right community for you. More and more builders are eliminating or minimizing amenities from their communities to lower development costs. That may not be a deal breaker for you if there is a great country club, aquatic center, park, or gym nearby. At lifestyle-centric Traditions of Braselton, we offer all of that and MORE. Excellence of Local Schools

If you’re a parent to school-aged children – or you hope to start your family shortly following move-in – it’s likely that the quality of local schools is a major determining factor for you. School Digger, Niche Rankings, and Great Schools are all fantastic resources for researching the elementary, middle, and high schools that serve any given community. At Traditions of Braselton, we’re exceedingly proud of not only the quality of our local schools, but also our homeowners access to two different school systems. Our community is districted to Jackson County Schools, including Gum Springs Elementary, West Jackson Middle, and Jackson County Comprehensive High Schools. However, parents can also consider applying for out-of-district admittance to award-winning, tuition-based Jefferson City Schools. For those parents who prefer a private school education for their children, Braselton Christian Academy, Jackson Trail Christian School, Four Points Preparatory Academy, and Westbrook Academy Preparatory School are all located within six miles of the community.

Appeal of the Surrounding Area

Just as you should expand your scope beyond the four walls of your potential new home to consider the community that surrounds it, you should do the same to consider the towns that encompass that community. If you love great food, how are the restaurants nearby? If you love to cook, you may crave easy access to grocery and gourmet stores. Do you include “fashionista” among your many attributes? Access to Travel Corridors

You might want to make a practice run from a community you’re considering to your workplace during a weekday to get a read on future commute times. At Traditions of Braselton, we’re ideally poised six miles from the on-ramp to I-85. Highways 53 and 124 also serve as well-traveled commuting routes.
