A museum that feels like one big indoor playground, it features a wealth of opportunities for interactive experiences, including a kid-sized grocery store, beauty salon, bank, post office, dentist office, medical clinic, family playhouse, and more. It’s a terrific chance for grown-ups and kids to play make-believe together in realistic settings.

Teeing up fun for the whole family, this entertainment destination meets driving range near the Mall of Georgia features two stories of 70+ climate-controlled hitting bays, food and beverage service to your bay while you play, and a series of games that utilize micro-chipped golf balls and Toptracer technology to keep track of every shot. Enjoy a little friendly competition and maybe even spot some burgeoning golf talent among your offspring.

A little closer to home, there’s a unique opportunity to connect with your kids just 13 miles away. Kids 7 & under can play for free, using foam axes and targets, while kids 8+ and the adults who love them can have a blast throwing axes at wooden targets in a controlled setting. You can purchase sessions in one of two lengths: 1.5 or 2 hours. While Axe Master now sells beer and wine to adults 21+, you can bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages for your crew.

If you have teenagers under your roof and want to blow off some steam as a family, don a helmet and get behind the wheel of a highly responsive Dino kart to speed around a banked oval road-course track just around the corner from Traditions. Tuesday and Wednesday nights in August feature discounted rates. Those discounted nights are cut back to Tuesdays only from September through December. You can also enjoy the track’s signature Karting Experience on the occasional weekend. Kids must be 15 or older to take part in Karting. If you have younger kids, the track offers Drive-in Movies on select Friday nights on a giant 45-foot outdoor movie screen.

A beloved family-friendly tradition in Downtown Braselton, the monthly Movie Under the Stars is an excellent opportunity to haul out those picnic blankets and camping chairs and head to the Town Green for a movie. The August 12 showing features The Super Mario Bros. Movie between 7 to 10 p.m. Be sure to grab snacks at the concession stand before the movie starts as soon as it gets dark enough to see it on the screen. The Braselton event calendar is a terrific resource for upcoming opportunities to have fun as a family, from shopping the booths at the weekly Braselton Farmers Market to exploring the wares at the Art-Tiques Market August 25-27.

Situated roughly 20 miles from our community, this family fun center also features an arcade, rock wall, escape room, concessions, and more. It’s really no wonder why it’s such a popular destination for birthday parties. To fuel your fun, you can purchase refillable play cards that can be used on attractions AND arcade games, or you can get everyone in the family a wristband, which features unlimited indoor and outdoor attractions within a three-hour time frame. The Family Four-Pack is promoted as a “best value,” offering four In and Out Wristbands, four $5 Game Cards, four Small Drinks, and four Slices of Cheese Pizza. Fun Fact: In the Fall, September 30-October 31, Funopolis becomes FEARopolis after dark – offering a Haunted House AND a Haunted Maze (both are recommended for kids over 10).
