The 1904 is a multi-tenant space in the newly restored historic Braselton Brothers Department Store building located in the heart of downtown, in Braselton, GA. This renovated space is only 5 miles from Traditions of Braselton. Tenants include Carden Records, Flourish Taproom, Doe A Deer Interiors, Sugar ‘N Proof Bakery, and Inner Nerd Collectibles.
Something Old
Established in 1887 (it says so right there on the building), Braselton Bros., Inc. was THE spot over 100 years ago to see the newest finds in garments, post war inventions, and general mercantile items needed for day to day family life. While dormant for the last 40 some odd years, recent revitalization efforts along Ga Hwy 53 have inspired a group to come together and make this grandfather of a building bounce with life once again as THE spot to be; The 1904.
Something New
The 1904 is a revision and revival of the building with modern stores and spaces, including Carden Records, Flourish Taproom, Doe A Deer Interiors, Sugar ‘N Proof Bakery, and Inner Nerd Collectibles. Yet another new restaurant with a bar is expected to open very soon. A gathering room with comfortable seating and Wi-fi in the front room is open daily from 8am-10:30pm and is perfect for meet-ups. There’s even a conference room on the 3rd floor that may be reserved for meetings.
Something Borrowed
The original model behind the Braselton Brothers Department Store remains the same, with the modern takes incorporated. Borrowed from the pages of city center mercantiles who were most successful, this blend of meeting space, food, drink, shopping, and ideas brings us to a creative afternoon, or evening, of making the most of comfortable small town living.
